Microwave Signal Generator
The 8684D Microwave Signal Generator is a rugged portable signal generator designed for demanding benchtop and field maintenance environments and incorporates an internal Pulse Generator/Modulator. Covering the frequency range from 5.4 to 18.0GHz while offering a leveled output of +10 to -130 dBm. Three separate LED displays indicate frequency, modulation, and level for easy setup and monitoring of the output. Frequency resolution of 10MHz and level resolution of 0.1 dB. AM, FM, and pulse modulation, including a built-in pulse generator, the 8684D provides the capability to test modern communications, radar, etc. Calibrated FM rates from DC to 10MHz and peak deviations to 5MHz is ideal for communications receiver testing. Combine the high performance FM with the fast (<10 nS rise and fall) and deep (>80 dB ON/OFF) pulse modulation plus the ability for simultaneous AM and pulse modulation and it's easy to see that the 8684D is a highly desirable generator!
