Flicker free displays with digital storage and CRT annotation of major control settings provide convenient easy documentation. Using normalization, frequency response errors are simply removed. In addition, the 8501A can digitally average signals to dramatically improve signal-to-noise ratios and magnify the display for high accuracy measurements. The 8501A is factory equipped with a remote programming interface using the HP-IB.
