The 15414A TRI-STATE Unit and the 15413A TRI-STATE Pod (not included) were developed in order to electronically disconnect the data generator / extender from a data bus. This is necessary in applications where other devices control the same bus lines. The data outputs are switched to high impedance by one or two inhibit signals applied to the 15414A. Selectable inhibit conditions allow individual control of 1 to 6 pods, each of which carry 4 data lines. The maximum data rate remains 50MHz.
