The 1776 Digital Current Meter provides the ability to measure ac, dc, and ac on dc current with non-contact clamp-on probes. Taking current readings produces virtually no disturbance in the measured circuit. The clamp-on feature of the probe offers the advantages of complete isolation, no dc insertion loss, and negligible ac insertion loss. These qualities are especially valuable in making difficult transient response tests. The internal calibration feature eliminates the requirement for an external reference current source.
