The 7511 Precision Automatic Noise-Figure Indicator (PANFI) features all solid-state design, internal calibration, and a high degree of accuracy and resolution. The meter scale provides for indications of from 0 to 3 dB, spread over 3 inches of meter arc (one-half the meter scale), enabling resolution of a few hundredths of a dB. A unique range-switching feature allows most noise-figure readings to fall within this expanded portion of the scale. The instrument covers the frequency range of 10MHz to 40GHz and a noise-figure range of 0 to 33 dB in 5 ranges.
